8/27/2005 Boot The Owl on vacation soon!.  

Any of you who have seen the band lately have most likely noticed that Robin is pregnant and getting bigger.  We will be taking the rest of the year(at least) off from gigging, so that she can get her rest and have a happy, healthy baby this December.  We've enjoyed all the people we've me so far and appreciate all the positive feedback.  We will keep in touch and continue updating the WEB site as news breaks.  If anyone would like to email Robin directly, you may do so at Robin.Lamb@BootTheOwl.com

However, we will be playing at Savannah's in Albany on 8/19. Come on out to Albany and see us!!!!

7/25/2005 Boot The Owl has rescheduled for Savannah's Aug 19.  

We were booked at Dominick's but they double booked us(again) However, we will be playing at Savannah's that night instead. Come on out to Albany and see us!!!!

4/19/2005 Boot The Owl and Acoustic Trauma are playing a double bill at Saratoga Winners on Saturday May 7, 2005.  WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE GUYS!!! You will too - maybe you already do... Either way you won't want to miss this awesome show! Doors open @8pm, Cover - $5.00

4/01/2005 Dominick's has rescheduled Boot The Owl.

After the April Fools mix-up, we're booked for three more dates this summer. 5/6, 5/3, 5/19.  Check our calendar for more info!

3/30/2005 Dominick's has cancelled the gig for Friday 4/1/2005.

They double booked the date and the other band was there first. April Fools on us!  Actually April Fools on them too. We are listed in all the papers as playing there. :)

2/15/2005 - Boot The Owl is auditioning Sax player's. We would like to add another soloist to the band. Other musical skills are a plus. We are looking for someone who can rehearse once a week. You must understand simple music theory and have an open minded, mature attitude.      Call Steve 518.878.1466 for info...

1/10/2005 - Blind Pig & BMG take notice of Robin and co.

I just found out there were some "ears" at the Hotel A. benefit gig for Rich Edwards. Here's a clip from a post on CRUMBS written by the guy who brought them out to see the bands. ~just the section about us, click the link at the bottom for the whole write up.

...Area favorites BOOT THE OWL followed and provided some earthy, female style, get down blues! Excellent job! Robin had good stage presence and really belted out her vocals. She had great intonation and her voice is pleasing to listen to. Steve held down the guitar spot and provided some good in your face blues riffs. Tim was solid on drums and Pete, the only keyboard player of the evening had a good accompanyment style that backed up Robin very well. Here we go with the extra string thing again! Andy played a 5 string bass and had a good feel for holding down the bottom in a blues and R&B situation. Robin's vocals were the highlight of the band. She is easy to listen to and as a team, the entire band provided some top notch entertainment...

...Oh! My friends (who usually keep a very low profile for obvious reasons) were delightfully impressed. Eric from Blind Pig was very interested in Mike Palma The folks from BMG like everything they heard. They had a prticular interest in ACOUSTIC TRAUMA, BOOT THE OWL, and had a raised eyebrow when they listened to INNIS RISING. more
